Employee Certification Information

All employees must hold a current recognized two-day Basic First Aid Certificate with CPR/AED and Transportation Endorsement, in addition to WHMIS 2015 Certification

Drillers must have a current valid Yukon First Line Supervisor Certificate or BC Mines Supervisor Certificate depending on the province you are working in.

A drivers license may be required for any jobs where employees must transport themselves using company vehicles to and from the drill sites.

Two-Day Basic First Aid with CPR/AED and Transportation Endorsement

All employees are required to have a recognized two-day Basic First Aid with CPR/AED and Transportation Endorsement.

These courses are all in-person and may be taken through any accredited local First Aid training provider (Saint Johns Ambulance, Red Cross etc.)

 


WHMIS 2015 for Workers Certification

BC Mine Supervisor Certificate

Yukon First Line Supervisor Certificate

Course Delivery: Online

Duration: 4-6 Hours

Prerequisites: You must have a minimum 2 years of experience in the field in which you apply to supervise

Cost: $195.00 (Initial License) or $40.00 for Renewal (Every 5 Years)

In accordance with the Canadian Free Trade Act - Yukon WCB allows for a transfer of certification of a First Line Supervisors Ticket/Mines Supervisor Certificate from other provinces or jurisdictions within Canada at no additional cost. If you have a certificate from another jurisdiction and would like to apply for a Yukon First Line Supervisors certificate using this method, please contact our recruitment manager, Thor Larson, to discuss the procedure for applying for the recognition of your certification with Yukon WCB as a First Line Supervisor.
